Blake goes after a new Federation weapon - unaware that his moves have been predicted by a psycho-strategist.
Blake, from a suggestion by Cally, decides to mount an attack on the Federation Weapons Development Base. She knows he's planning an attack on the Federation Central Control, so they will need as many weapons as possible.
At the same time, the Federation is experimenting with cloning, creating an exact copy of Blake. Using the clone, they hope to anticipate Blake's every move.
When the crew arrives at the base, they are surprised to find it all ready on maximum alert. Coser, with his partner Rashel, have stolen the IMIPAK weapon - Coser's life work. He's upset the Federation are going to take the weapon without giving him the credit. When Servalan hears of the theft, she immediately dispatches Space Commander Travis to find out what happened.
Both Blake and Travis track down Coser, but Travis gets there first and sends in Blake's clone. Coser reveals the details of the weapon to the clone, thinking its the real Blake, telling him about the Induced Molecular Instability Projector and Key. IMIPAK.
Its a weapon that projects an unstable molecular potential in the part of the victim that you hit. That doesn't kill them, only until the Key unit is operated are the new molecules activated, killing the target.
Servalan enters and takes IMIPAK, quickly killing Coser. Travis then marks Blake, Avon and Gan as they teleport down and being searching for Coser.
They meet up, and she reveals the trio are marked, enjoying the fact that she is going to make them run. They do, but just as she's about to activate the key, the clone of Blake, and Rashel, rush in and mark Servalan and Travis, effectively ending the usefulness of the weapon.
