Searching for the real location of Central Control, the Liberator goes to Albian, to find Space Major Provine, who may know something. Unfortunately, they arrive in the middle of a revolution.
Synopsis
The episode starts on the planet Albian; like most planets its Federation controlled, but here a rebellion is underway. The battle rages as the Federation troops are pushed back. Tronos, Selson and Provine are left in the control room, listening to reports of the battle. They realise it isn't going well for the Federation and decide to use their main deterrent - a solium radiation device. A device with a small explosion, but deadly radiation that disperses quickly - leaving everyone dead but all structures intact. Selson and Provine head off to their shuttle bay, leaving Tronos to set the device. He's killed by the rebels, but not before he arms the bomb. Selson is also killed in a landslide, leaving Provine unable to get to his shuttle.

In space, the Liberator closes on Albian. Blake is looking for Provine, who he knows worked on Central Control - the Federation supercomputer. Blake, Avon and Vila teleport down to the surface. They arrive in the aftermath of the battle and start to explore, finding the shuttle bay, then meet the rebels, lead by Cauder. He explains what has happened and how they don't have a way to stop the bomb. Avon explains that the device they are working on is just a transmitter, the real bomb could be hidden anywhere on the planet. Cauder explains that the rebellion was lead by a mercenary, as they didn't have the expertise themselves. Avon is shocked to find it is Del Grant, a man who wants to kill Avon. Del is the brother of Avon's lover, who he thinks Avon betrayed during his attempted robbery of the Federations's banking system.

Vila uses Orac to find the location of the hidden bomb - at the planetary polar region - and Avon and Grant head off to attempt to disarm it. Blake sets off to find Provine, who has recently attacked some of the guards while trying to escape in his shuttle. Provine is disquised as a rebel and is actually sent to help Blake. When they reach the shuttle a short fight takes place, with Blake able to overcome Provine. He's dying, but doesn't want to give any information about Central Control. However, he does reveal is it now called Star One and only one man, a surgeon named Docholli, knows the location. Blake can't get him to tell him where Docholli is before Provine dies.

At the pole, Avon and Grant are working hard to disarm the bomb, taking about Anna - Grant's sister and Avon's former lover. Avon explains that he had gone to obtain some exit visa's to make their escape, but was attacked on his way back to Anna. He was shot and unconscious for more than 30 hours and found out later that Anna had come looking for him but had been killed. Grant's not sure, but carries on with disarming the bomb. A collapsing roof almost crushes Grant, but Avon saves him, and they manage to disarm the bomb at the last second - saving the planet.
